When I was 8 years old, I saw the movie The Music Man. I remember listening to the Buffalo Bills and saying "I wanna do THAT!!!!" Well, in 1996 I got my chance. I had joined a local orchestra, where I met my friend, Emily. She said that she sang in a barbershop chorus, and that if I liked to sing, I should give it a try. I was immediately hooked! The ladies in the chorus were so warm and inviting that I felt like I had suddenly just found 30 sisters! Very shortly thereafter, I joined my first quartet, Forever Yours. Ten years later, I still sing with many of those sisters (and some new ones) in the Jersey Harmony Chorus. I love singing with them, the Hickory Tree Chorus, and with my quartet, 24 Karat.
